You may have noticed my transition from $staff to `senior member. Not to worry, I wasn't fired. I left deviantART to pursue my dream of hiking 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail to raise $25,000 for Multiple Sclerosis through my new project, 100marathons.org. I'm carrying a pro camera on my journey and in since starting the hike on April 27, I've taken TONS of photos. Unfortunately, as I'm trekking thru the mountains of the west, I've been unable to upload photos and blog on dA as I had planned. I'm 700 miles in to the hike and taking rare advantage of an internet cafe in the tiny (pop 200) town of Kennedy Meadows, CA.
So far, the hike has been more than I could have expected. Incredible views, great people and a healthy dose of solitude have all been had. I've seen every type of rattlesnake that inhabits the West, including the elusive and extremely poisonous Mojave Green. I'd love to keep everyone on dA updated but I fear I might not even get a bar of cell service for the next month so I think it's unlikely I'll update again soon. I update facebook daily with a little help from a frend and a satelite communicator, so if you'd like to follow along or contribute to the MS Society, go to www.100marathons.org and follow the links!
